Mission

At Helping Hands Pantry we are blessed with the opportunity to serve up to 7,000 people every week with the food they need. We are committed to all those who come to us and we do not turn anyone away. Our distribution center is open seven days a week 362 days a year to serve all who are in need. On Fridays we distribute food for the Kidz fuel snack pack program of the Community Action Partner-ship of San Bernardino County directly to the schools so that children who would not have food on the weekends have something to eat. On the first Friday of the month we distribute USDA commodoties and starting in January 2012 we will be distributing food to those "Living on the Streets" right where they live and congregate seven days a week.

About Us

Helping Hands Pantry is a 501(c)(3) public charity that is here to benefit the community by providing food and other items to those in our community in need.

We are committed to helping all who come to us and do not turn anyone away.

We have four primary programs to help those in need and have all of our clients fill out a questionaire to find out what other services they need that we can supply or refer them too.

Our primary programs are:

1. The food pantry, where we serve the public with food in the form of groceries seven days a week, 362 days a year (closed New Years, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)

2. The backpack program where we work with other organizations to bring food to children in the schools who would otherwise go hungry on the weekends.

3. USDA food distribution to San Bernardino residents on the first Friday of the month.

4. Our "Living on the Streets" program starting in January 2012 that takes food to the homeless where they congregate seven days a week 365 days a year so that they do not have to go hungry.

We also work with other organizations to bring clothing and other household items to our clients, food for thier pets so they can keep the pets and not have to use thier limited resources to feed them, infant care items, health care, employment, and educational opportunities.
